Prof. Dr. Rashid Bahar
Rashid Bahar advises on regulatory and transactional matters in the financial industry. He acts on mergers & acquisitions in the financial industry and on complex financings where he advises both lenders and borrowers. He regularly advises clients in licensing and enforcement proceedings before the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA and other authorities.
Rashid Bahar also advises funds and asset managers in setting up their business and offering their products and services in Switzerland.
Rashid Bahar is also an associate professor at the University of Geneva, where he teaches corporate law, corporate restructuring, financial markets regulation as well as law and economics. He has extensively published in corporate law and financial markets regulations. He has acted as an expert member in various working groups and participated in parliamentary hearings at cantonal and federal level.
